Stagnant. Immovable. Stuck.

Things are a bit backed up around here.

No, not my pipes.

My thoughts.

I've gotten myself into a rut of the same old, same old. I've officially lost my edge and just go through the motions each day. That's why no posts. I can't seem to think of anything word-worthy. It all seems so...BORING.

So what's a girl to do? Turn to her virtual friends to lift her spirits, of course. What do you do when you hit writer's block? Inquiring minds want to know...

Oh, I hear you. Sometimes I force myself to sit down at the keyboard and just write... words. Sometimes they're good words, sometimes, not so much. Also, I find inspiration tends to hit when I'm far to busy to write anything down - like driving with the kids screaming in the backseat, maybe you could try that ;).

For me, it's usually a sign that I'm tired or preoccupied with everyday life. Happened to me a ton these last few months. I just backed off for a while. Though it hurt traffic to my blog, I do feel rejuvenated.

This happens to me often. I used to try to force posts, but I stopped that. If I have something to write, I write. If I don't, I don't. Usually something comes to me at the weirdest times, and I take that opportunity to quickly outline a post in my head until I can get to a computer. Then the words just flow. It'll come to you!

CAST OF CHARACTERS

With all the comings and goings in our crazy house, its even hard for me to keep up with who's who, so here's a little rundown:

Me -- dazed and confused most of the time, but trying hard to manage it all.

Chez Dad -- he may be a tad challenged on the home improvement front, but man can this guy cook (Yes, I know I scored!)

Soccer Girl -- AKA Our Lady of Perpetual Drama -- our eldest's affinity for teen angst is dwarfed only by her moves on the soccer field.

Tween Idol -- One of the tween twins, Daughter #2 is quickly closing in on her older sister in the drama dept., but she does it with the voice of an angel.

Pond Boy -- You'd think twin #2 was raised by frogs. He's infamous for his obsessive love of nature and anything pond related.

Little Stinker -- the baby of the family, our 3 yr old is the full of energy, determination and other imp-like qualities.
